Gates on Calle Castillo de la Torre Grosa
Just an quick update on the gates on calle Castillo de la Torre Grosa streets 2 and 4. There has been numerous problems with both gate locks this summer as they are old and badly worn. Today I have had a locksmith come out and advise me on what can be done with these.
Â
The following will happen over the next few weeks. Both gates will be repaired as necessary. Both will have different locks fitted which will be operated by security keys. Everyone on street 2 will be issued with a key for that gate and everyone on street 4 will be issued with a key for their gate. If you do not live on these streets you will not be issued with a key. If you want to enter both streets from elsewhere on the urbanization you will need to enter via the top road entrance. If you are coming from r1 etc to the swimming pool same again you will need to enter via the street 4 road entrance or via the lower pool gate.Â
Â
Everyone who is here will be issued with a key before the locks are changed. Others who are not here can pick up a key from myself when they arrive in Spain.
Â
Street 2 gate will be fitted with an automatic closer to stop people leaving it open.Â
Â
People from other streets and estate agents etc frequently leave our gates unlocked so this will no longer be possible.
Â
The keys issued will not be copyable and any extra keys or if you lose your key will only be available through myself at a charge of 25 euros per key. A small profit made on extra keys will help fund the initial outlay. The cost of 25 euros per key will hopefully stop people issuing copies to people who shouldn't have a key in the first place.
Â
I will notify everyone when I will be distributing the new keys.
Â
I will look at options available for the r1 security gates later in the year.Â
Â
Thanks in advance.
